Welcome to the website of Rocket Theatre
To date we have done over 130 performances of our most popular show to date – an adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime – a play written for 2 actors, which has been seen throughout the UK. There is a possibility of more performances of the show in 2016 but we are also focusing on new shows for the future.
We are currently developing A Night At The Operetta, which as well as featuring Sullivan’s celebrated Cox and Box, will also include Offenbach’s first operetta The Blind Beggars and the first operetta ever, Don Quichotte et Sancho Panca by Hervé. As well as being an uplifting and entertaining evening for audiences, these musical works also illustrate an important time in the history of musical theatre and are considered to be the beginnings of the modern musical as we know it today. It will tour in 2016.
We are also looking for a partner theatre to try out our new play ‘Six Little Bunnies’ by Simon Corble. It’s a marvelous comedy based on the same story which produced the famous Ealing comedy, Kind Hearts and Coronets. We hope to have news in 2016.
We are still taking bookings for Oscar Wilde’s Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime. It’s had great reviews and is a real winner with audiences.
We have re-worked some of our most popular shows for performances in church halls, restaurants, private members clubs or even your own home!
