CANTERBURY TALES
by Phil Woods with Michael Bogdanov.
Following on from last years The Strangeness of Others, Rocket Theatre Showcasing is now staging Canterbury Tales, which will feature the talents of 16 up-and-coming actors from the North West in a thoroughly entertaining updated version of Chaucer’s ‘filth-fest!’ Phil Woods takes a deliberately unacademic approach to Chaucer's classical work, while at the same time retaining the original's sense of fun, chivalry, and satire. Rocket have also added their own twist by adopting a different film style to each tale and welcoming you to come along to the Annual Geoffrey Chaucer Canterbury Tale-telling Competition!
Warning: The play contains language and scenes of a bawdy nature! The play will be staged at the Waterside Arts Centre - a brand new, state-of-the-art theatre in Sale. Performances are on Wed 18th May - 7.30pm / Thur 19th May 3.00pm & 7.30pm / Fri 20th May - 7.30pm. Tickets, priced at just £5 each, can be booked in advance through the Box Office. Information here.
